Bang Wei Raw Pu-Erh is grown on Bang Wei, a famous mountain in the Yunnan producing region. The larger rolled leaves feature notes of honeysuckle and a delicate astringency. It brews a grassy vegetal flavor, with a pleasant crisp bitter and distinct woody scent. This tea is from 2018 and is raw or non-fermented.

Bangwei, located in Lancang, has many ancient tea trees and a famous millennial tea tree growing at the elevation of around 1900 meters. Just by smelling the dry leaves of our 2007 Bangwei, this tea immediately brings you for a walk in the winter forest. After a sip of this tea, you might find yourself in the wild woods with a very slightly smokiness in the background, breathing in the clean cool air after snow…

Bang Wai Mountain is in the county of Lancang not too far from the Jingmai Mountains. Bang Wai tea, like Jingmai tea, is a naturally occurring mixed (large and small) leaf varietal that displays a floral sweet character juxtaposed against a hoppy bitterness. The aroma is high and bright, whereas the mouth-feel is thick, viscous and crisp, with a long-lasting sweetness.
